Leicester Tigers are ‘very aware of what is at stake’ when they were face to London Irish at Welford Road on Saturday.
In Exeter last weekend lost Aviva Premiership was the sixth consecutive defeat and for 50 years they equaled their worse runs.
On Saturday they equal the worse premiership by five consecutive losses and for the first time since 1975 they lost four games row wise at Welford Road.
Toomua says it is a game and in and we have to feel proud and should be aware of what is at stake or they are against and also making sure for the performance for that we can be pleased with.
Irish has arrived at Premiership of Welford Road bottom with their own sense of desperation. Not only they lost the last 10 matches, but also now they are 10 points adrift from the bottom of the table with Worcester’s recent resurgence.
As time is running out so they avoid slipping and straight back to the championship after last year’s promotion with which Toomua says it’s a dangerous beast. Also, their attack is quite expensive and has pitch which will open it in the last 30 minutes against us and played good rugby. They have some dangerous players who like to play on foot also back-rowers individuals which is tough to tackle.
If you sit, then it is tough to play, but if an attack in defense, then team has some good payoff. Taking experience from the last few games we can make sure that we complete those crucial attacking moments into points when we enter the opposition’s gold zone. Last time when we played London Irish we made so many breaks in midfield so this time this is a big thing.
So, now it’s about restoring the pride and takes that personally. It’s now to put the performance which we can be proud of.
